Stylist Elise comes by her talents naturally: her mother and godfather both were hairdressers. Elise knew she wanted to be a stylist from an early age, when she would color and style her friends’ hair for prom. (“Two words: butterfly clips!” she says.) Today, Elise has come a long way from these humble roots, receiving extensive training in balayage, razor cutting, styling and more. When she’s not in the salon, the self-described “ultimate crafter” is crocheting, making jewelry or doing hand lettering. But her favorite aspect of her creativity is the connection she shares with clients—which is reflected in Elise’s favorite quote by Vincent Van Gogh: “I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people.”
